On Sunday June 30th, 2008 the Five Civilized Tribes Museum held it's 38th
Annual Competitive Art Show.
William "Billy" Varnell participated again this year and won the Master of
Heritage Award for his painting "Daughter of the Sun".
This is Mr. Varnell's third time to get recognition in this catigory and
says "I am once again honored to receive this well respected award."
Billy also received Honorable Mention for his work "The Redbird" in the
miniature category. This piece is the second part of the story to
"Daughter
of the Sun".
