AN ILL WINDE THAT BLOWS:
THE FREE REINES OF KETTREENA'S RING
What meanes this change of weather?
Out-rores the Thunder, and her flaming eyes
What fat-kidneyed maggot pie?
Who rais'd this storm? Has Age or Wedlock lent thee
This sickly Night-cap, in spiced Indian air, with hemlock?
What fool hath added water to the sea,
Or brought a faggot to bright-burning Troy?
By night will come through the forest of Reines,
The "great cow" at Racenna in great trouble
Madnesse acted to the life, Morts de la Seine
What ill humour, What strange quarke reaction,
What ill winde hath blown me full of maggot ostentation?
O, what a rogue, what an o-ring
What vile manner of beastly thing?

ENGLISH PROSE DRAMA
QUARLES: THE VIRGIN WIDOW (1649)
For.:
Comodus, What eye did ere till now behold
Folly and madnesse acted to the life?
Co.:
I wonder Formidon , the King could bear
Such sawcy passion with so clear a brow.
For.:
His wisdome knew that Pertenax was far
Too mean a subject for his discontent.
And rather look'd upon his crack-brain'd words
With princely eyes of pity then revenge.
Com.:
Unlesse it were
Some jealous qualme arising from a kisse
Too hardly printed on Kettreena's lip
By way of welcome to her Lady****p.
Pert.:
Were he as many Kings as he has Subjects to abuse,
I'de not endure't. Come, the plaine truth is, I
don't like it, so I don't, nor should I spare him had he
been a King of Gold: What? should I stood like a fool
to be his shooing-horne to draw a paire of hornes upon
my head, and turn Pander to his lickerish kisses, while he
wipes my mouth with a cod-piece Knighthood? I'le
hang first. Let him bestow his honour with a vengeance
upon those that hold it a good pen'worth on such
tearms: For my part I like it not. Have I liv'd these
thrice thirty years, to be caught with Chaffe? Kettreena
must be a Lady forsooth, to be more capable of his
princely lust. And Pertenax must be dubb'd, and gain
the glorious attribute of a right wor****pfull Cuckold.
Come, these are baits to catch young birds with, and
honourable mists to blind ambitious fools with. His
politique Majesty has taken a wrong. Sow by th' eare.
I'm none of those that for a smile can play the royall
Pander, nor like a tem****izing Wittold can help my
wanton Prince into the Saddle, or hold his Stirrop. Did
I not mark the lustfull progresse of his lascivious glaunces?
And how his ugly rowling eyes shot fire-brands at
Kettreena's face? How every word was garnish'd with
a wanton smile, and still presented to Kettreena's eare!
His antick gestures, croutches, congies, cringes, complements,
and all directed to Kettreena ! While she like a
wel-disciplin'd Curtezan could counterfeit a modesty,
against her conscience, to whet his lust into an appetite;
and like a coy dissembling Bride, could sit and mince it,
and inwardly rejoice to think of future times.--But
see they come; I'le stand aside and watch.
Evald.:
Artesio , we shall study to requite
Thy bounteous entertainment, and whilst we
Possesse th'Imperiall Crown, be confident
Thou hast a friend at Court. Come Kettreena ,
Chear up: W'are pleas'd to set thy Husbands rudenesse
Upon the score of Age the Advocate
Of all infirmity.
Pert.:
Hey! an active Whore!
Evald.:
Enough Kettreena ; thy fair merits give
Breath to our favours, and make virtue live.
Ros.:
I, let them go: Sister, we are too course
For their respects.
Ma.:
Methinks we meerly serve
Like worthlesse Cyphers to encrease a number.
Or like odde mony in a Taylors Bill
Only to be abated: Let them go.
Ma.:
But yet methinks 'tis odde, that all the Trumps
Should lie in fair Kettreena's hand, and none
In ours.
Ma.:
Husbands! Husbands of Clouts.
Ros.:
But, as for mine,
I'le ring his ears a peal of discipline:
Ma.:
I'le act my part; and if Marina fails,
Let me want fingers, or these fingers nails
Quack.:
'T was but once or twice six months, good
Doctor be appeased.
Art.:
Appeased! My fury hath no eares; my boyling
gall breathes up such fumes of bitternesse into my crazy
brains, that there is left no place for patience to repose.
For.:
Now Comodus , what means this desperation?
What Fury has possest thee? What strange fit
Usurps thy patience, and beclouds thy brow?
What means this strange Militia in thine eyes?
Who rais'd this storm? Has Age or Wedlock lent thee
This sickly Night-cap? Tell us what's the cause
Of this dull change?
Com.:
I have a Reason for't.
For.:
I fear, I fear, some Oeconomick fire
Hath late been kindled: Tell us what's the cause
Of these sad looks?
Com.:
I have a Reason for't.
For.:
Disclose it then: Come, if the Bile be ripe
'Tis best to launce it: A revealed grief
Invites to cure, lies open to relief.
Com.:
He that can still the Thunder, or asswage
The flames of sulphrous Aetna command
The hideous powers of infernall Spirits
Resolve for vengeance, he, and only he
Can cure my grief: Marinas louder tongue
Out-rores the Thunder, and her flaming eyes
Outscorches Aetna: Her impetuous rage
Out-devils the whole Academe of Hell.
Pert.:
Why didst not pare them then?
Why didst not stop her viperous mouth?
Why didst not drive those troups of Devils
From her stormy tongue?
Com.:
Bid me go snatch a daring Thunder-bolt,
Or twi-forkt lightning from the hand of Jove :
Bid me go stop the flowing Tides, or stay
A singing Bullet in her middle way:
Bid me go tame a Dragon; or restrain
The Armes of Furies bent to high revenge,
This were an easie taske; nay, easier far
To slack Hels flames, then quench Marina's rage
Pho.:
Madam, let not your easie faith relie
Too much upon the voice of babling fame;
The Court is grown so vain, that it beholds
All in extreams, and it ownes nothing good
But what it censures evill.
Aug.:
There's no smoake
Without some fire: Re****t must have some ground.
Trip.:
Nay Madam, it is gone so far, that they
Stick not to stile her by the name of Queen.
Aug.:
That's far enough a conscience, but I hope
The faire Kettreena will be pleas'd to stay
Till we resigne, or die
Trip.:
Such looks as his are sowre enough to fright
Diana from her chastity: And who
Ere canoniz'd Kettreena for a Saint?
Or took the King for more then flesh and bloud?
To raise such Tumults, and to sow these seeds
Of factious discords in our setled State.
And you Museus , whose unrivall'd thoughts
Have pitcht their Territories, far more safe
Where you enjoy more happinesse, more rest
Then he that wept for want of Worlds to win,
Whose boundlesse limits, and more vast confines
Extend from th' Artick to th' Antartick Pole,
And in the Closet of thy Contemplation,
Canst sit and blow new Worlds like bubbles; then
Demolish and dissolve them at thy pleasure
Artesio , say, what discontents have rais'd
These clouds, that over-cast thy chearfull brow
And make sad weather in Kettreena's face?
Art.:
My age, most gracious Soveraigne can expect
Small sun-****ne in this world: My wasted years
Find little relish in these worldly toyes.
Evald.:
Chear up Artesio , If our favours can
Quicken thy joyes, and make thy times more sweet
Thou shalt not want them; We shall bend our care
For thy advancement, and thy Childrens good.
But say, Artesio , what disastrous evill
Hath stampt thy looks with these late sad impressions?
Kettreena , tell me, for thine eye appears
An equall sharer in his silent tears?
Evald.:
Then tell me sweet Kettreena , and tell true,
Had peevish Pertenax the maiden-head
Of thy Affection; did thy heart nere flame
Untill his amorous Bellowes blue the fire?
Evald.:
How long Kettreena since thy soft desire
Relented first at thy bold Pilgrims fire?
Evald.:
Has not thy Mariage-bed dissolv'd that vow.
Evald.:
Tell me Kettreena , do'st thou know this Ring?
Why do'st thou start Kettreena ? Do'st thou know't?
What meanes these teares?
What meanes this change of weather?
Tell me, Kettreena , do'st thou know this Ring?
'Tis I that was that Pilgrim, and disguis'd
Wandred this land (whose Crowne I was fore-told
By our Chaldean Prophet should be set
Upon my Temples) and directed to
Artesio's house; I found that very face
His Glasse presented to my wandring eyes
In viewing thee, whom he mistook as Queen,
And read my Regall fortunes in thy love;
Adding this prophesie, as yet untold,
She that gives thee the first Ring
his is that Ring, which given thou drop'dst a tear,
And whispered'st thus: This Ring is Cupids Sphere.
Evald.:
Be not deceiv'd
My sweet Kettreena , there's no dregs of lust
Defiles that bosome thou so fear'st to trust:
'Tis fair and spotlesse, and contrives no end
But what may merit so divine a friend.

Welcome to the Conservative Revolutionary American Party's BLOG.
Conservative in that we believe in the Constitution of the U.S.A.
We are Revolutionary in the way that our founding fathers were
in throwing off the bonds of tyranny. We are American in that we
are guided by Native American Spirituality; we are responsible

Time to update this again. I can't belive(actually I can) that
we now have a "Supremem Court" that is packed with conservative
radicals. We have to do whatever we can to wrest control of the
government from the hands of the neo-cons who have managed to
pull off a "legal" coup. The 2006 election cycle could be a
turning point if we rally against "the powers that be".
Thanks...........PEACE.....Scott
The stakes would eventually become so high that a number of the
biggest insurers -- including CIGNA, Aetna and Metropolitan Life --
would leave the industry-wide Health Insurance Association of
America
The distraction comes through the flash and bombast of explosive
social issues like abortion, gay rights, public displays of
religion, end-of-life decisions and creationism. ... The
pilfering comes through initiatives that take from working- and
middle-class Americans and give to Bush's cor****ate backers, to
whom he has delivered the goods big-time."
On November 11, a week after TomPaine.com put the re****t out on
the 'Net, I received an email from the New York Times Wa****ngton
Bureau. Hot on the investigation of the veracity of the vote,
the Times re****ter asked me pointed questions:
Question #1: Are you a "sore loser?"
Question #2: Are you a "conspiracy nut?"
There was no third question. Investigation of the vote was,
apparently, complete. The next day, their thorough analysis of
the evidence yielded a front-page story, "VOTE FRAUD THEORIES,
SPREAD BY BLOGS, ARE QUICKLY BURIED."
Here's a bit of what the Paper of Record failed to record.
In June 2004, well before the election, my co-author of "Jim
Crow" Rev. Jesse Jackson brought me to Chicago. We had breakfast
with Vice-Presidential candidate John Edwards. The Reverend
asked the Senator to read my re****t of the "spoilage" of Black
votes - one million African Americans who cast ballots in 2000
but did not have their votes register on the machines.

View from the Crew
The Buoyant Neutrinos Are on the Move Again! - June 2001
I've stopped in New Orleans to visit my aunt, uncle
and baby cousin when I get word that some people I know,
including my grandfather, whom I haven't seen in 20 some odd
years, are departing on a raft to Cuba.
Can't pass up this
op****tunity to meet my grandfather, learn about boats and
sailing, travel with a group, and see a place free of American
pop culture. So I find a cheap flight to Cancun, and become part
of the crew of a Yellow Catamaran they call the ABSOLUTE
ABSOLUTION.
David wakes up and feels
his intuition telling him something. So he takes the check and
sneaks off into the night to cash it, walking 2 miles and
hitching into San Rafael, where he stumbles across a poker game.
Of course, he cleans house and returns with $600, and puts it
into my grandma's purse.
She's flabbergasted the next day when
she finds it, not worrying about where it came from. They go on
a shopping spree buying things for the baby and taking friends
out to dinner. The next night, my restless grandpa wakes up
again and goes into my grandma's purse, taking the left over
$300 minus the original $27 and sneaks off again into the night.
Finds the same poker game and is quickly loses everything. Of
course, my grandma was livid, upset at what might have been. But
that's how my grandpa lived.
Talking to the storm and seas and
taking in its powerful energy, I feel ALIVE. We ride it out but
the rough weather continues through the night and part of the
next day. Exciting stuff. Turns out it was the edge of Tropical
Storm Claudette, that later became a hurricane.
A couple of weeks later, with new rudders and a fully refreshed
crew including newcomer Corrie Cole (sister of the photographer
on the local newspaper) we made the short hop to Houma for the
welcome return of Poppa Neutrino from his visit to New York. He
brought with him artist Lech Bider, originally from Poland, who
was curious to know what life was like at sea.
THE FLOATING NEUTRINOS LAUNCH THE SECOND HULL OF THEIR CATAMARAN -
Oct. 2001
The purpose of this world-sailing raft is
to train crews in the techniques of building and sailing rafts,
to empower individuals to live their dreams by teaching simple
psychological tools and to demonstrate creative ingenuity in
recycling through local raft building projects in the various
****ts we visit.
The Buoyant Neutrinos Are on the Move Again! - June 2001
A recap?.
In 1998 the Floating Neutrinos successfully crossed the Atlantic
on the Son of Town Hall, a raft made out of recycled material.
They continued their journey from Ireland to France and into the
Mediterranean. In 2000 they traveled 2,000 miles from the head
of the Mississippi to New Orleans. Ed Garry was part of both
adventures, I participated in the second. Calling ourselves the
Buoyant Neutrinos, Ed and I are currently building a 54 ft. raft
catamaran to be a sailing training vessel to cir***navigate the
world.

Nobel laureate Frederick Reines, a former Case Western Reserve
Univ. faculty member, died August 26 at the Univ. of California
at Irvine Medical Center in Orange. Dr. Reines, 80, had
Parkinson's disease. In 1956, while working at Los Alamos
National Laboratory, Dr. Reines and fellow researcher Clyde
Cowan Jr. detected the neutrino, an elusive energy particle. The
discovery launched the field of neutrino physics and opened up
other new fields of study in physics, astrophysics, and
cosmology. It also was one of the first large-scale experiments
that integrated physics and computer technology. Dr. Reines
worked at Los Alamos from 1944-59.
As professor and chair of physics at Case Institute of
Technology from 1959-1966, Dr. Reines conducted significant
studies of neutrino interactions. While on campus, he also was
chairman of the joint high-energy physics program between CIT
and Western Reserve Univ. Dr. Reines became the first dean of
physical sciences at the Univ. of California at Irvine, leading
a team of physicists known as the nnneutrino group, which
recorded several firsts in neutrino observations. Dr. Reines
became professor emeritus at UC-Irvine in 1988. His work earned
him international recognition. Dr. Reines received the J. Robert
Oppenheimer Memorial Prize in 1981. Four years later, Pres.
Ronald Reagan presented him with the National Medal of Science.
In 1992, Dr. Reines received a Franklin Medal from the Benjamin
Franklin Institute Committee on Science and the Arts in
Philadelphia, joining such previous recipients as Albert
Einstein, Thomas Edison, Orville Wright, Enrico Fermi, and
Albert Michelson. He became a member of the National Academy of
Sciences in 1980. Dr. Reines received his Nobel Prize in Physics
in 1995. Awards from CWRU were the Michelson-Morley Award in
1990 and an honorary doctor of sciences degree in 1996. His
bachelor's and masters degrees came from Stevens
Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He earned his PhD in
1944 from NYU.

Ra Uru Hu, the former physics professor you've already met, is
getting ready to speak. Spiral-bound photocopies of his book The
Book of Letters (A Guide to Human Design Analysis based on the
Human Design System) are sitting on a table by the garden
entrance of the ACT indoor meeting area. An imposing black
briefcase s****ting a "No Choice" sticker (part of the course's
philosophy) sits there as well. A black sheet with a schematic
diagram of the chackras of a person in the lotus position
printed in white hangs in the middle of the room. I realize that
Petra's wearing a necklace of the same design; she'd
commissioned it be done in gold and silver, with the chalkras
represented by amethyst jewels.
A programmer in Amsterdam who is working with Ra has come up
with commercial software tied to the Human Design System called
1995 Eivissa (Ibiza): Neutrinos for Windows. The book is filled
with screen shots of the software doing "readings" of Marilyn
Monroe, Joe DiMaggio, and Arthur Miller. I can't comment on the
course (not an introductory one) or the philosophy (all new age
lessons transmitted to one person by a Voice sound like the same
mumbo-jumbo pablum to me). I can provide a direct quote from A
Guide to the Monthly Neutrino Program, Insights & Views from Ra
Uru Ha. Here's the first paragraph from the September 1995 issue:
One of the most im****tant aspects of working with transits is
the first hand encounter with the conditioning of the planets.
Not only are we constantly being conditioned by the planets but
our knowledge of these forces has been deeply conditioned, and
particularly by Graeco-Roman mythology. Venus is one of the most
glaring examples. At the same time the Romans were turning her
into a "dumb blond" the Mayans were timing all their ritual
executions to her cycle. Your mileage may vary.
The weather has turned with a vengence. Even to my San Francisco
sensibilities it's cold. The sun is completely obscured by
clouds and a choppy breeze herds everyone inside Fernandito's.
Rumpled sweat****rts and blue jean jackets appear, pulled out
from under car seats or spare tires. Even so, people huddle
together in solidarity against the weather's betrayal. Ra's
class has a break, so a run on the espresso ensues.
I'm about halfway through John le Carre's "A Perfect Spy".
I picked it up to read about George Smiley, who isn't in this
book, but this book has an interesting leading man and so I'm
not unhappy.

NU Researchers Find Signs Of Extra Dimensions
by Staff Writers
Boston MA (SPX) Jan 27, 2006
Researchers at Northeastern University and the University of
California, Irvine say that scientists might soon have evidence
for extra dimensions and other exotic predictions of string
theory.
Early results from a neutrino detector at the South Pole, called
AMANDA, show that ghostlike particles from space could serve as
probes to a world beyond our familiar three dimensions, the
research team says.

The Inside Story by Sig Hecker
Fred Reines Neutrino Day
Last Friday we celebrated the remarkable discovery of the
neutrino by Fred Reines and Clyde Cowan 40 years ago while
working for the Laboratory. The neutrino was exceedingly
difficult to detect. Since it has little or no mass and no
charge, one can only infer its existence through its
interactions with matter, such as its reaction with protons to
yield a neutron and a positron. However, the mean free path for
reactions with hydrogen is approximately 1, 000 light years of
liquid hydrogen. This led Wolfgang Pauli, who postulated the
existence of the neutrino in 1930 to ensure conservation of
energy and momentum in nuclear beta decay, to say "I have done a
terrible thing. I have postulated a particle that cannot be
detected." Hans Bethe later added, "there is no practically
possible way of observing the neutrino." Fred joined the
Manhattan Project in 1944 upon completion of his doctorate in
physics from New York University. He worked in the Laboratory's
Theoretical Division during and after the war, doing a stint as
test director in the Pacific as well. In the early 1950s he
asked Carson Mark, then T Division leader, for permission to
work on the detection of the neutrino. Initially, Fred planned
on using an atmospheric nuclear detonation as a neutrino source
but decided instead to use reactors.

Nobel laureate Frederick Reines, a former Case Western Reserve
Univ. faculty member, died August 26 at the Univ. of California
at Irvine Medical Center in Orange. Dr. Reines, 80, had
Parkinson's disease.
In 1956, while working at Los Alamos National Laboratory, Dr.
Reines and fellow researcher Clyde Cowan Jr. detected the
neutrino, an elusive energy particle. The discovery launched the
field of neutrino physics and opened up other new fields of
study in physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. It also was one
of the first large-scale experiments that integrated physics and
computer technology. Dr. Reines worked at Los Alamos from 1944-
59. As professor and chair of physics at Case Institute of
Technology from 1959-1966, Dr. Reines conducted significant
studies of neutrino interactions. While on campus, he also was
chairman of the joint high-energy physics program between CIT
and Western Reserve Univ. Dr. Reines became the first dean of
physical sciences at the Univ. of California at Irvine, leading
a team of physicists known as "the neutrino group"
which recorded several firsts in neutrino observations. Dr.
Reines became professor emeritus at UC-Irvine in 1988.
His work earned him international recognition. Dr. Reines
received the J. Robert Oppenheimer Memorial Prize in 1981. Four
years later, Pres. Ronald Reagan presented him with the National
Medal of Science.
In 1992, Dr. Reines received a Franklin Medal from the Benjamin
Franklin Institute Committee on Science and the Arts in
Philadelphia, joining such previous recipients as Albert
Einstein, Thomas Edison, Orville Wright, Enrico Fermi, and
Albert Michelson. He became a member of the National Academy of
Sciences in 1980. Dr. Reines received his Nobel Prize in Physics
in 1995. Awards from CWRU were the Michelson-Morley Award in
1990 and an honorary doctor of sciences degree in 1996. His
bachelor's and master's degrees came from Stevens
Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He earned his PhD in
1944 from NYU.

A Fleeting Flash
The story of supernovas and neutrinos reads almost like a great
religious epic: it spans countless eons, but the moment of truth
is counted in milliseconds; involves titanic forces struggling
for dominance, yet the central character is humble and "weak;"
and promises from violent death the gift of life.
